What is mastering
Mastering is a speciality carried out by a sound engineer, where your audio is refined and optimized for broadcast. It’s done remotely, without you having to visit the studio.
How do I send my projects?
You can send your documents in WAV or AIFF format via DropBox, Wetransfer or Google Drive.
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is about balancing the different elements of a track, while mastering is the final touch that enhances the overall sound of the track and the coherence between several musical projects in the case of an EP or an album.
What volume level should I aim for, and should I maximize my tracks before sending them out?
No need to turn up the volume! It’s preferable to provide me with a mix with a certain margin to enable efficient online mastering. A peak level of around -6dB is ideal.
Avoid maximizing or limiting your mix, as this can hinder the mastering process. Let me take care of the dynamics and final volume to get the best possible result.
Can I request revisions?
Yes, we each have our own listener, so depending on the online mastering package you choose, you’re entitled to a certain number of revisions.
How long does it take to master a track?
Lead times vary according to the offer, but generally speaking, a track is mastered in 24 hours, and up to 14 days for an album.
Is online mastering suitable for all musical genres?

How do I work with your audio master?
Audio mastering from stereo files :
- The online mastering process from the audio mix uses the stereo file from the mix for mastering.
- When using this method, the mixing work must be impeccable, as the slightest error will show up in the mastering process, making it even more difficult to correct your sounds.
Audio mastering from Stems :
- Working with an audio master from Stems files is different, as it requires you to export the summation groups as stems files at the end of the mix to enable audio mastering of each of the sub-groups. Example: drum group, bass group, vocal group…
- This type of mastering allows greater flexibility in correction, but requires greater precision in the preparation of several tracks for a single song.
