My articles and information will cover the following topics:

• The video editing software that I use according to my projects and clients. Because for those who know me, video is essential when communicating. We will talk about the many video formats, visual experiments, workflow, complementary tools, music production for image and sound design. How to create a video in Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro, on Mac OS X according to the document to be produced. How to integrate different tools and equipment into your editing studio and the controllers that revolve around computer editing stations without forgetting colorimetry, calibration, preview, codecs, special effects, as well as updates and their new features… And let’s not forget encoding such as MP4…

• How to edit, learn to import files, to cut and insert them properly into the timeline, how to edit, refine the cutting, the fade and make beautiful transitions when necessary. Or basically, the cut editing without forgetting to develop the drag and drop technique and the cropping. You will discover extensively the work of the editor from import to export, what is called rendering and publishing or delivery to the client with professional quality. And why not study the creation of a video?

• How to do location scouting, how to use free or paid video clip banks to optimize editing. Because maybe you cannot invest in a trip to Rio for a one-minute sequence on the beach… Or how to shoot a documentary and make edits from home…

• Work on a screenplay or script to help you with your filming and editing. Making a music video, syncing with sound, and simply how to make a good slideshow! Which video editing software is best suited for a particular type of editing or the easiest to use. But I won’t be talking about free software or trial versions for Windows.

• We will also talk about distribution platforms, how to publish on YouTube, Vimeo, and their formats. We’ll talk about cameras, drones used in filming, video and live recording tools or concerts, and not to forget recording and editing a livestream. Teamwork in post-production…

• I will show you the use of useful or futile accessories, how to work lighting intuitively, and we will address managing lighting indoors and outdoors when you have to film for a training video, a tutorial, an interview, or a report.

• Making visual effects with shooting tips or tools like After Effects. Using Photoshop for image retouching. Editing subtitles. Overlaying images and when simplicity matches the quality of video effects… Or when 3D animation and game creation software meet cinema…

• As you can imagine, I have a lot to say about audio processing for video files, how to optimize the recording of a report, both for sound and picture. Searching for music for your editing, whether it’s royalty-free or paid, including the ending credits! Not to forget voice-over work, background noise, sound effects, or simply managing audio and video tracks…

• As the owner of a Lumix GH5, we’ll talk about its settings and capabilities, stabilization, video recording on reflex cameras, and smartphones. Of course, the recording format will be discussed, as well as how to export camera or smartphone files to your computer for editing. Do you know about GoPro? I will talk about this small marvel that I have been using for some time now as both a camera and a webcam…

• I will address the legal aspect of image rights… And how to create and sell videos, but also how to archive productions, even if I no longer have requests to burn a video on a DVD or a Bluray…

The world of video is full of surprises, and I hope to make you discover this universe through the articles on my video blog. And as a bonus, I am a fan of anime, so maybe we’ll talk about the editing work of an anime, who knows…
